Integration

Apart from integrating students in mainstream schools, a number of projects and programmes are taken up each year with able bodied students of normal schools.

• All festivals are celebrated with other mainstream schools.
    
• Outings, picnics, parties etc. are normally organized in co-ordination with youth clubs, women's clubs or schools. Children are taken on Nature walks, Treks, Field trips and even, overnight trips.
    
• Major events of Disha - like Sports Day, Annual Function etc. - are organized with help of various local mainstream schools.
    
• Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) placements of students from mainstream school enable them to spend a day at Disha 2-3 times a year. Approximately 50 students are covered under the scheme each year.
