Educators also need education. Particularly those who teach
challenged students. Staff training has always been one of our major focus areas. As a part of their training programme, our faculty stays back for about 1½ hours everyday after school for individual planning (under guidance), lectures, workshops, case-studies and film shows.
In fact, 6 staff members who have been working with us for 3 years have attended lectures equivalent to those covered in the One Year Diploma given by most Institutes!!
Our faculty is encouraged to attend Seminars to further enrich and
enhance their skills with the experience of global experts in the field of Special
Education.In co-ordination with the Spastics Society of India, Bombay and Ministry of Education, Government of India, Disha also organized a Seminar on Inclusive Education at Jaipur in February 1997.
Attended by eminent specialists from India and abroad, the seminar's objective was to discuss the feasibility of Inclusive Education for children with special needs in India.
